What is the dress code?
The dress code is Cocktail / Formal
WHAT NOT TO WEAR?
White! Please kindly refrain from wearing white, ivory or cream gowns, as this colour scheme is reserved for the bride. White as a smaller part of your outfit is perfectly fine, but if most of your outfit is white, that's a big no no. We also kindly request you wear appropriate wedding attire in line with the dress code, and while you may not be excluded from the festivities should you commit a fashion crime, your photo privileges may be reduced.
A note on footwear
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on grassed areas. We recommend avoiding stilettos or any other shoe that may prove unnecessarily challenging on lawn. For those wearing heels, it may also be worth bringing a spare pair of shoes that are comfortable to dance in, should you anticipate being on your feet late into the night.
Can I bring a plus one?
Please check your invitation for the number of seats you have been allocated. Our day has been specifically planned around the loved ones we have invited and as numbers are limited, no additional attendees are permitted. If you are unsure who exactly is invited to attend, please check the front of your wedding envelope. You may also reach out to the bride and groom if you have any queries.
Are children welcome?
While we love your little ones, unless a seat has been allocated for them as part of your party, our celebration is for grown ups only. We hope this gives you a chance to enjoy a night out!
what if i am not a night owl?
Have a strict bedtime, Monday morning plans or you just don't have it in you to stay up all night? Not a problem. While the event ends at midnight and we would love you to party with us 'All Night Long', all formalities will conclude around 9:30 pm. So for those of you not up for a late night, 9:30 pm is a good time to end your evening with us while still enjoying all official parts of our reception evening. The end of formalities will be marked with a sparker send off.
alcohol policy
A gentle reminder to act appropriately and drink responsibly. Dedicated bar staff will be serving all alcoholic beverages, as alcohol cannot be self served due to the venue policies. Respectfully, though we wish for all our guests to enjoy themselves fully, we will assume that you will consume alcohol wisely. Please note that the drink service will conclude at 11:30 pm.
Photo Guestbook
A guestbook and instant cameras will made available as a way to leave well wishes for the happy couple, alongside a photo of the faces of the people we care for most. It may be worthwhile to have a think beforehand, about what you may wish to write in our guestbook. Words of wisdom, kind blessings or something from the heart will all be well received in our guestbook. Should you have issues completing the photo guestbook please find a bridesmaid, groomsmen or another capable youngen.
Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place outdoors on a lovely shaded patch of grass known as the Lilac Lawns. In case of bad weather, we have a charming indoor backup location on site, known as The Chapel. The cocktail hour will also be outdoors, however we will be moving inside The Barn for the reception.
Is smoking allowed at the venue?
Smoking is strictly prohibited on the Mardella Meadows grounds with the exception of the designated smoking areas. Designated smoking areas have been specifically allocated to manage and reduce fire risk. Under no circumstances can any person leave the Mardella Meadows grounds onto the private property of which Mardella Meadows is situated with a cigarette or flame (for example, candles). Smoking is strictly prohibited in the accommodation/cottage section of Mardella Meadows including the associated garden areas. Please enquire with Mardella staff should you have any queries on this. Please reduce or refrain from smoking as much as possible as a way to be considerate of our other guests.
When will the festivities end?
We plan for the main events of the evening to finish by about 9:30 pm, with the party concluding at 12 am, when noise restrictions come into effect. If you're leaving the event at midnight, please be mindful of the noise you make.
accessibility
Mardella Meadows does not have any stairs or steps and has mostly flat, even ground. Doorways are wide enough to accommodate mobility aids and an accessible toilet is also available on site.

Is there parking available?
Yes! Free and plentiful parking is available at the venue. Should you wish, you may even leave your car overnight at Mardella Meadows, though you will need to ensure you collect your vehicle between 8 and 9:30 am the following morning, as the gates will be locked outside of this collection window. All vehicles will need to be collected by 9:45 am Monday 19th October.
Leaving your car overnight?
Gates to the venue will be locked after the event ends at midnight, and reopen again at 8 am to that you may collect your vehicle if needed. Please arrive to collect your car before the window to do so closes at 9:45 am. If you forget to collect your car entirely we are more than happy to accept it on your behalf as a wedding gift. Oh how generous, you shouldn't have!
Will there be transportation to and from the venue?
Transportation will not be organised by the couple to and from the venue, so all guests will need to arrange their own means of transportation as appropriate. Ubers do service the area and you are welcome to park overnight should you wish to carpool or book your own chauffeur. We ask you to consider how you are planning to leave the venue at the end of the night in advance, and if you are driving yourself, please drink responsibly and be mindful of fatigue. We all want you to get home safe.
What are the recommended hotels nearby?
Mardella Meadows is a little out of the way compared to some other wedding venues, so it is important to take into consideration your commute to and from the venue, and whether it would be easier to stay nearby. Recommended places to stay nearby include Tasman Holiday Parks, Golden Ponds, Quest Rockingham and any other Airbnbs you may find in the area. Please refer to the Accommodation page on the website for additional information on nearby hotels.
can i stay on the grounds?
Accommodation at Mardella Meadows is not available to wedding guests. You will not be able to camp or sleep anywhere on site and will need to leave the premises when the evening wraps up at midnight.
Can i stay with you?
Unfortunately the bride and groom do not have the ability to accept house guests immediately before, during or after the wedding. You will need to phone another friend on this one.
When is the RSVP deadline?
17th September 2026. Please RSVP by end of day 17th September 2026 so we can finalise the seating plan and catering details.
i need to change my rsvp
Should you need to alter your RSVP response or amend any notes or dietary requirements on your response, please promptly edit your RSVP via your RSVP confirmation email. If you are unable to locate your confirmation email, or have any other issues, you are able to submit the RSVP form again with the updated details and we will update our records to accept the information from the most recently submitted response. Alternatively, you may contact the bride or groom directly to advise.
what details do you need on the rsvp?
The full name of all attending guests and any dietary requirements need to be submitted with your RSVP. Please note that it is your responsibility to include all dietary restrictions in your RSVP as only what you submit to us will be passed along to the chefs. All dietary requirements can be accommodated, please ensure you let us know what you need in your RSVP and make sure you let waitstaff know on the day so they can give you the food that is meant for you.
dietary requirements
Please note that it is your responsibly to list all dietary requirements you may have. We are not mind readers, and even if we know you well, we will only be passing along the information you provide in your RSVP to the chefs that are catering our event. All dietary requirements can be managed by our capable caterers, so long as you let us know what accommodations we need to make.
last minute or post deadline changes
Life happens, we get it. Please let the bride or groom know as soon as possible should you be unable to attend, or have any other significant changes to your RSVP after the RSVP deadline closes. Catering, decor and venue hire is organised and billed to us on a per head basis so the sooner you let us know the sooner we can advise our vendors and make adjustments.
suddenly cant make it on the day?
If you are suddenly unable to attend on the day, please only message the groom (Joel) on 0430 745 534 to advise.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Guests are not to take photos or videos during our wedding ceremony. We expect all phones and cameras to be away. We kindly ask that you keep phones on silent and out of sight during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographers and videographers are being paid good money to capture every moment for us (and importantly we don't want them capturing your phones in the shot).
arrival time
Guests are to arrive no earlier than 3 pm, and are expected to be seated at 3:30 pm for the ceremony. Please endeavor to arrive on time as you may be restricted from the ceremony should you arrive late. Should you happen to arrive early, please remain in your car until 3 pm so as to not interrupt the bridal party getting ready and taking photos.
Can I Post on Social media?
Please do not post any pictures of the bride and groom on social media. The couple do not consent to their images, especially ones not taken by professionals, to be posted online.
Guests taking photos
Once the ceremony is complete you are welcome to take photos and videos if you wish. Please note you will be on camera throughout the entire day and we would prefer to see as few phones in our wedding photos and videos as possible. Do also keep in mind we have paid for a very capable photography and videography team, that will professionally capture all aspects of the day. Nothing will be missed, and we are planning on sharing the photos from the day on our wedding website once they are released, via the Gallery. Please see: Photo Gallery
smile you are on camera
Please remember that photographers and videographers will be capturing a great deal on the day, so just remember at any point during the day you may be recorded or photographed even if you don't realise it. As such, we kindly ask that you are on your best behaviour. We also ask, where possible, to not cross in front of our photographers and videographers if they appear to be capturing a shot.
Photobooth
A photobooth will be available on the day, for use after the ceremony. How fun! Take pics and print them out, all yours to keep. Cool fact about this photobooth, we won it as a part of a competition, so make the most of it!
Photo guest book
A photo guestbook will be available for you to sign on the day. Please be prepared to take a photo with the instant camera provided, and write a little something for the happy couple in the guestbook. If you have any issues, please find a bridesmaid or groomsmen to assist you. As this guestbook will be an important keepsake for years to come, we kindly request that you only enter sincere photos from the instant cameras provided, not from the photobooth prints. In addition we will have a pack of custom wedding playing cards for guests to write something sweet, funny or words of encouragement on, so that we can look back on them in years to come.
